Guys, don't get left in a bind on your wedding day. Before your big day, pack these items in a travel kit and bring it with you to the ceremony and reception. No whining allowed, your bride's emergency kit is way bigger than this!
- Breath Mints
Fresh breath is a must on your wedding day, especially before that first kiss as husband and wife. Grab a pack of your favorite mints.
- Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Floss
There will likely be more photos taken of you on your wedding day than any other day of your life. The last thing you want it a photo with food stuck in your teeth. Keep those pearly whites clean and pack a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss.
Even if you've never been prone to sweating, wedding day jitters could change that. Bring extra deodorant and, at minimum, reapply between your ceremony and reception.
- Sewing Kit, Hem Tape
Hems break, buttons burst, pants rip. Wardrobe malfunctions happen. Be prepared with a simple sewing kit (like the kind they leave you in a hotel) and hem or double-sided tape.
- Lint Roller
If you're wearing a dark colored suit or tux, a simple swipe of a lint roller will keep you looking fresh day to night.
- Stain Remover
Your wedding day doesn't make you immune to slopping. Pack a stain remover pen and you'll be prepared for when you drop that h'dourve right above your belly button.
Happy & Healthy
Prone to heartburn? Then antacids are a must.
- Pain Reliever
The last thing you need on your wedding day is a headache. Throw some pain reliever into your emergency kit.
If you're having an outdoor ceremony, reception or photo shoot, pack that sunscreen! You don't want to arrive to your beach honeymoon with a burn.
Your wedding day is going to fly by and even though you helped select a five course meal, with guests to greet and others to thank you likely won't have a lot of time to sit down and eat. Pack a protein bar or two for those rare moments you have to yourself.
Just In Case
- Phone Charger
Even if your phone stays charged, someone in your wedding party is guaranteed to have a phone that's about to die. Pack a phone charger and don't miss out on any wedding day selfies.
This emergency kit is for the average groom. Tailor it to yourself and your own wedding. If you wear contacts, bring a spare pair and glasses. If you take any medication, pack it.
