First Look: Fall 2015 Ties
Despite it feeling like summer just started in our neck of the woods, we're already prepping for fall here at Tiemart. (Ok, we're working on Christmas, too, but that's a whole 'nother store you probably don't want to hear yet!)
Fall 2015 is kind of like the dad-bod phenomenon that went viral last spring. Things are starting to get a bit wider. From your jeans to your neckties, skinny has been the trend for quite a few years now. This fall we're starting to see things widen out a bit. Just take a look at any women's denim department—a great indicator of trends. There's more than skinny jeans gracing the shelves for fall. In fact, flare-leg jeans (aka bell bottoms) are there, too.
In terms of ties, expect to see less skinny 2-inch and slim 2.5-inch ties in the office. A narrow 3-inch-wide tie is the trending size for fall. Narrow ties are like the baby bear of neckties. Not too wide, not too skinny— they're just right. You typically find uniform ties in this width since it's a size most people can pull off.
If you've been wearing a lot of slim 2.5-inch or 2.75-inch ties, moving up to a 3-inch tie won't seem like too much of a leap. In fact, you might already have some 3-inch ties in your closet. Whether for aesthetic or personal preference, if you skipped the skinny trend and stuck with your standard, 3.5-inch tie, a narrow tie may feel a bit skinny. But it's really not too much slimmer that you couldn't try it for a modern look every once in a while, perhaps for a date night or casual Friday.
Here at Tiemart, our fall collection includes 20 styles of flannel ties in a narrow 3-inch width. These ties are made from a soft cotton/wool blend and $8.95 each. (Keep scrolling to browse through all of the patterns.) While these ties are available now, you'll unfortunately have to wait a few more weeks for a pumpkin spice latte.
