Melody and Jovial are two inspiring patients at Gillette Children’s who contributed their creativity to this year’s holiday ties and scarves.
Melody began her journey at Gillette in 2014, born with club feet and hip dysplasia, and later diagnosed with arthrogryposis. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, she has always felt supported and encouraged by her care team, finding comfort and a sense of belonging even amid her treatments. Her resilience and artistic vision were instrumental in designing this year's festive accessories.
Jovial, 15, is a passionate tennis player who is facing a life-altering challenge as his severe headaches recently led to the discovery of a brain tumor. Despite emergency surgery and a lengthy recovery, he is determined to return to his love for tennis and reclaim all that he holds dear. His strength and determination were reflected in his contributions to the holiday designs.
