Q: What’s the best way to make sure my color swatch is a match?
A: We recommend comparing your swatch to the item you’re matching in multiple lighting conditions—natural light, indoors, and even under soft evening lighting. Some customers find it helpful to take a photo of the swatch next to the item for an easy side-by-side comparison. While an exact match is ideal, subtle differences of a shade or two usually go unnoticed. For example, a groomsman’s tie won’t be placed directly on top of a bridesmaid’s dress, so most of our customers are okay with slight variations.
Q: Can I get additional swatches?
A: Absolutely! While our swatch request form allows one request per customer, our customer service team is happy to send additional swatches if needed. Just reach out, and we’ll be glad to help.
Q: How accurate are the colors on the swatches?
A: Our color swatches are cut directly from our ties and pocket squares, so what you see is the exact material, finish, and color we have in stock.
Q: What about dye lots?
A: We replenish our products at different times, so ties from different dye lots may have minor variations. Our warehouse tracks these dye lots carefully, and if you order multiple items for the same event at the same time, we make sure to pull the closest possible match for your order.
Q: Can you make a product in the exact color I need?

A: Yes, through our custom program. We offer custom ties starting at 50 pieces, with a lead time of 8+ weeks. Smaller quantities aren’t available. For details, visit our Custom Tie page.
Q: Do your swatches match your socks?
A: Our color swatches are made from our tie materials. While we offer matching socks in many popular colors, the socks are made from a cotton blend with a matte finish, so shades may vary slightly. In practice, the difference is subtle, and most customers don’t notice when worn.
Q: How early should I order my ties for an event?
A: Even though we ship quickly, we recommend placing your tie order 2-3 weeks before your event. This gives extra time in case of shipping delays or if you need additional ties.
Q: When will my order ship?
Orders placed Monday-Friday by noon central time almost always leave our warehouse the same day. Transit times vary from 1 business day to 8+ days depending on the shipping option you select.
Q: What if I need my ties quickly?
We offer shipping options as quick as UPS Next Day Air at checkout. With this option, if you place your order by noon central time, your ties will arrive the next business day (which is Monday-Friday).
