Once you've picked your design, it's time to send us your design request. For Design #1 only, you’ll be asked to select a background color. A standard or navy blue is a classic choice—because let’s face it, you can never have too many blue ties! After choosing your colors and uploading your photo, submit your request and we’ll get to work.

Next, we’ll e-mail you a digital sample of your tie so you can preview the design before it goes into production. (This typically arrives in your inbox within 1 to 2 business days.) This is your chance to make sure everything looks just right. We want you (and Dad!) to love it.

Before we can make your tie, we’ll need a quick sign-off. Our photograph release form gives us permission to use your photo and confirms you have the rights to it. (Yep, it’s the legal mumbo jumbo.) There’s also a box you can check if you're okay with us sharing your awesome tie design with our customers on social media. We’d love to feature it!

Now the real magic happens at our Midwest location. Each photo tie is created through a dye sublimation process, starting with a pre-manufactured solid white necktie. Once we print your design, we use heat and pressure to permanently transfer your photo design onto the fabric. Hard to believe it all started on paper!
